Smile of the day - What is yours?

Smile of the day - What is yours?
Getting an earful of abuse from a lorry driver for blipping my throttle at him.
Or to be more precise, for shutting the foul mouthed prat up with the line, "maybe you wouldn't be in the way if you stopped texting when you're driving down the A1 at rush hour. Now would you like me to ring the number on the side of your lorry and tell them what you do?" |

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
A day out in Manchester with my family.
Craft markets, Jamie's Italian for lunch, Beermoth for a glass or two of something cool and hoppy. Then an evening in the garden drinking good beer, BBQ'd home made burgers, Swifts screaming overhead as the sun sets. Good enough for me. Pete

Seeing dad back on his motorbike after all the hospital time. And first ever ride with him, may have just been through to gateshead for his MOT but hey!

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I'm into day 4 fatigue at the Test match. So tired I can't think straight but I'm smiling because Alastair Cook got a 150 today, I vowed when he was on 80 that if he got a century I'd have one of the mango and passion fruit cheesecakes in the media centre - he made me wait a while but it was delicious.
I got to meet some interesting people this week too. We had the Gurkha military band in and the Gurkha troops collecting for the disaster relief fund - the lads were all very interesting to chat to. And of course if the Gurkhas are about so is Joanna Lumley so I got to photograph her with them - and with my two gay colleagues who were so delighted to meet her - I never realised she was such a gay icon. And today an author friend came round to see me, with his mate Damian Lewis. I have met him before but he has now grown a ginger handlebar moustache with lamb chop sideburns. I was struggling to listen to what he was saying as his face looked so silly it was distracting me. I really hope that is for a role!
