That was a wise move to buy it now, before the post-Brexit customs and duty chaos that will inevitably follow.
I got fairly good prices for the 2 I sold, certainly more than I paid but with other OM and Minolta alternatives available, I couldn't justify keeping them. Still debating whether to keep the K1000.
With not being in China this year, I was thinking of going to Japan this Christmas and trawling the camera shops in Nagoya and Osaka ... but most foreign nationals are barred from entry because of the virus, which is a bit of a downer

Yeah, it will probably be the middle of next year before things start to ease off. I sold my K1000 as I didn't really bond with it, oddly enough I still have another one but its just sat on display. Its the one I fixed the meter power wire in. My OM2n is going to need a new control board, apparently its all working but switching modes from auto to manual causes two auto metered shots and then flips to manual mode firing correctly. Its only a tenner for the part but just adds time for the repairer.

Welcome aboard Lee. Know what you mean about phone cameras, the best camera is the one you have with you, as they say. I took some close-up pics of our roof for the council though (on digital with an actual camera) and my wife was surprised how sharp and clear they were. Phone pics are fine most of the time, and we're used to them, and see them on tiny screens most often. Amazing for how tiny they are though.

The camera on my Xperia X Compact flares really badly in direct light. Other than that its quite useful to have a camera on me at all times. Just wondering why they don't go down the route of a retractable lens like a small compact would have but I suppose dust ingress would be a problem. The Zarya is now in the UK, went from Graz to Munich to Colonge really quickly and when I checked on it this afternoon it said it was in the UK. Really hope they don't try and deliver it tomorrow as we aren't open at work on Saturdays at the moment.

I usually did mine in the bathroom, you can hang the film from the shower rail to dry. I weighted the roll with a couple of pegs at the bottom.

I'm still alive. It looks like it worked but I messed up a little. See if you can guess why. I'll upload a pic in a few mins.

I developed 2 films. Spot the difference.
I'll try to get the scanner working again. Wifey has an old Sony with XP installed that she doesn't use any more. The scanner and software should be compatible with that.

Hmm, not enough chemicals by the looks of it? Missing the top? Did you stand develop or invert?
