Re: Vintage film cameras
Heck of a price on that K1000, especially compared to similar sold recently. I wonder how much the sales patter and the video helped.

Re: Vintage film cameras
You hardly even see the f1.2 let alone be able to afford one, it was really one in a million. The 1.4's are supposed to be very good though and only around half a stop slower. It's a heavy lens as well!

Re: Vintage film cameras
Sorry I posted at the same time as you Yoko. Nuts, I know, I would have been happy with 50-60 to cover the purchase of it and the Ensign. I normally put stuff on fixed price but I couldn't figure out what to set it at, and they're popular so put it on auction. I always put a lot of detail in the ads, which I think is appreciated. I meant to ask, does the video add anything?

Re: Vintage film cameras
I thought it might be a bit cheesy but there are so many ( and so many crap) ads you have to stand out somehow.

Re: Vintage film cameras
A picture paints a thousand words eh Johnny. I always go all out on the photos for my ads and use the light box, I think a decent photo and good description attract more buyers. Better than writing "I know nothing about cameras". That's a weird little gizmo, not sure what I would use it for. I've got a whole case of Cokin filters that I don't use.

Re: Vintage film cameras
As if to prove a point, I've found a Voigtlander Bessa rangefinder (blacktop like yours JR) just listed as Voigtlander Bessa and some really poor photos. The cover photo doesn't show the rangefinder, so hopefully it'll pass under the radar. Currently winning at a couple of pounds plus post.
