Re: Vintage film cameras
Got a Soviet lens for my spare Nikon FM. Helios 81H, they don't seem to come up in the UK very often so I grabbed it. There is some interesting circular patterns in the coating so it will interesting to see what the images come out like.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Would anyone be interested in building this at Christmas? Lomography Konstructor. I already have one but it was cheap at a charity shop.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Not for me the Konstruktor but it's a great Christmas idea for a youngster. I would have loved one many years ago. Good find on the Helios too. Never seen one of those before.

Re: Vintage film cameras
It's another of those not common in the UK kind of deal. I've tested it on my dslr and the IQ doesn't seem to be affected. The tell will be shooting in proper sunlight. I'll donate the kit if nobody wants it, how about you and your daughter JR?

Thanks but no, I don't think she yet has the patience for film. They're not cheap, you did well there!

Re: Vintage film cameras
Not a Takumar if that's what you're thinking. I don't have any of those.
It came with a Tessar but I've also got a couple of Helios 58s and a Pentacon 30mm |

Re: Vintage film cameras
JR, didn't you have a Contax in need of curtains? Maybe these Kiev ones will fit?

Re: Vintage film cameras
Thanks, I think the problem is just in the escapement etc., the curtains look fine from the outside. Not sure if Kiev ones would fit, they are based on the Contax II/III but I have a IIa
