Resistance/continuity on the stator pins is good, all show zero resistance between each other.
Same can't be said for the stator to neg terminal and engine case: it's got full continuity on all three pins, so shorting that way.
Running at idle I have two pairs of pins running 31v, one pair 25v.
At 4K rpm, two pairs bang on 70v, one is 80v.
Across the battery, idle 12.5v. 4K 13.3v.

I have changed the cps already from electrix world. They do a stator, or there's west coast windings but that takes two weeks, unless I can find someone closer to the NorthWest.

10 years and I still love the thing though.

I did some research a while ago on Alternators/Stators for my Curvy if I ever needed one.

I found this,

http://www.bbbikeshop.co.uk/acatalog...ternators.html

Remember that once you know the,"G-Type" type they are usually used on several makes and models. For example my old CX500 used a G47 type.

Hope it might be useful

...so you have identified your problem, another bad stator.

Do you use this guideline from DEcosse?

MacBook is suddenly unable to find it's network card. "No hardware installed" Typing this on wife's work computer is driving me mad! None of the keys are in the right place, the shortcuts don't work, none of my logins are saved and I can't remember most of them. Mouse / touchpad is all moving at the wrong speed... aaargh!

I keep all my passwords/logins in a spreadsheet on a usb stick and only plug it in when I need to find one. No passwords on the actual PC or laptop.

The young lady talking on her phone while driving the other night, while in a petrol station. Also the lad on the pump next to me using his phone having already filled up and blocking the pump with a massive queue behind.

Rumour has it someone on here liberated a mobile from a person using it at a filling station & flung it onto the canopy.
Apparently it was rather sad hearing it get quieter & quieter as the days passed by.
I'd laugh at that!

I back up a full image of our computers on Acronis True image about every two weeks. In the past when I have had HDD crash or once when I somehow got a ransomware virus I just swapped out hard drive for a new one, ( took the opportunity to fit a bigger one ) and reloaded the whole kit thing in an hour or two - all settings back to normal etc. etc. There may be other ways ( like backing up to cloud etc. ) but with a 2TB HD that may take a while ( takes a while on my main PC with external HD plugged directly in ).
