Re: Vintage film cameras
I do. It came with a job lot of 110 bits. I since found out that they're quite rare.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Where in York is York Camera Mart ? I am not a camera enthusiast, my Sony digital camera is fine for me, I just have these cameras I mentioned earlier and want to see if they are worth much before they go to a charity shop.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Try West Yorkshire Cameras if you want to sell, they seems to offer reasonable amounts.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Near the Shambles, google map it. TBH the best thing to do for a value is post a few pics on here and we can check it out for you. Best thing to do (you can do this yourself anyway) is look across ebay sold prices - ignore asking prices, they vary from £2 to £1000000000 for anything at all.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Had a look a the Ensign Autorange 16-20 I picked up last year. Glass needed cleaning, a bit of haze left but might be okay. 1s speed sticks a bit, others aren't bad, a bit slow but then the 820 I had was slow even after servicing it. Maybe that was why I got so many blurred pictures! Couldn't get the middle element out anyway so have put it back together and will try it as is. 1/200 and 1/400 are at about 1/130, 1/100 is about 1/80, the slower ones are fine. Got some ISO100 Ilford B&W. I think I don't like Ensigns, and I reckon that's going to be the end result, but we'll see. You have to fold up the arm on the front standard that holds the rotating prisms (same RF mechanism as the Super Ikontas) but unlike the Zeiss, you don't flip it up but nudge it a few degrees, and if you fold it back all the way or not at all, the door won't close when you fold the camera up. Also it has a needle built into the shutter button that stabs you in the finger if you haven't wound it on, I kid you not.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I've seen a few ensigns, I tend to leave them as they aren't my cup of tea.
