Thank heavens back to racing this weekend! Rossi could be up to 2nd in the championship if things go his way. He won in Germany from Sete last year but that Little Spanish boy has had good success in the 250's here also. Therefore unlike Donington, Sachsenring is a track he has fond memories of. Very tough early section on this track though and I feel experience might be key.

Super will be pleased to hear that Sete is set to ride.

Thanks for telling me Peter - I might not have realised otherwise !! :P

I note that you used the word 'ride' as opposed to 'race' - deliberate on your part or a Freudian slip ?

'Deride' is a bit strong - I just think that he's (unfortunately) a shadow of his former self who (as I've said before) had his big chance to win the World Championship but who ultimately fell short of what was required.

I can think of several reasons for this but IMHO the most important is Dajiro Kato - I think it affected him a lot more than he's ever let on (certainly more than just making gestures on the podium) - & this in turn led to him allowing Vale to mess with his head.

I honestly believe that he should have retired when he left Honda - but I guess a final big pay-day was too good an opportunity to turn down.

I've no doubt that he will be remembered (when he does retire) as a good racer - who might have qualified as 'great' if he hadn't been around at the same time as Vale.

Super....You know I had never really contemplated the devastating affect Dajiro's accident must have had on Sete. We will never know but the talent he had displayed, had many thinking that Japan finally had a genuine contender in the making for the "big" championship.

Whether it has been that which has affected Sete so much I guess we will never know,(until his book is released!) but I do see it as a shame.

In his defence however, although yes he is on a tidy sum with Ducati, you know as well as I do that is not his real motivation. He is from a wealthy family and has done pretty well financially without having to squirrel further dosh away frantically.

I think due to his connection with Bultaco, he was genuinely excited to be offered the ride with Ducati as it is as near as one could get to a present day Bultaco situation....smallish factory....taking on the big boys. It also apparently offers a real sense of family and belonging within the team. Whereas with Honda it is all so clinical and cold.

The Spanish fans are very knowledgeable and accept that Sete is these days flawed, but they give him massive backing at races. Which Is great to see.

You really had to be there to see his micky taking as he made Valentino wait before practising their starts at Jerez this year! Priceless, and hugely appreciated by the fans. (Despite Valentino having a massive following here)

I may just be blabbering nonsensically here, but I know what I mean...honest!

A few riders including Vale,Sete and Loris have said that the current four stroke are a lot easier to ride quickly than the 500cc two strokes. Thats not to take anything away from Dani, he is obviously a very talented rider.

Defintely game on tomorrow chaps!

Super's boy Davizioso could have an unhappy day tomorrow? Mind you a certain yellow clad chap in the big race does not look to have it all sorted either.

Just a little heads up for anyone that normally watches the moto gp races live...tomorrows main race starts at 1.30 UK time.

I think this might be so that it does not coincide with the Formula 1 face at Magny Cours.

I missed a "1" fellas race live at 11.30am UK time. Well spotted Fizz and Law.
