Would it be easier to find a wiring look you can live with?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_fr...+loom&_sacat=0

I had to do this on a CX500 I built from scratch. The parts bike's loom was so messed it it wasn't worth the effort.

Just out of interest this is what that bike looked like when done.

and how it started as a donor bike for my other,

But of course I'm now riding this

I don't know if anything else is different, so will just tape one outlet up and take the feed from the other one. I think that will be easiest and reversible should the next owner want to convert it back?

Nice job on the CX!!!

That is some dodgy diy'ing, not sure it could be done that badly if you tried

Have a look at this, it will save you time & fuses.

Thanks. I was actually able to fit everything inside the new headlight bucket without chopping up the loom, so it can still easily be returned to an S should a future owner want to.

Sadly the pointless lug on the back of the bucket hit the headstock when turning to the right and cut through the indicator earth! Just some fine adjustments with a dremel needed. But i'm happier with how it will look when its all done.

Thanks. Sorted wiring out, put the headlight brackest on the right way up, moved handlebars back and adjusted switch gear and levers and finally adjusted gear lever height. I wanted to drop out the back wheel and check bearings and thoroughly clean the chain, but i have other jobs to do right now...

That really has been neglected

Just to amend a previous post.I don't think I will be able to use my,"Vista" cruise control.Even if I fit a standard throttle shaft I think control clusters on the SVs would prevent it.Sent for a cheap,"Cramp Buster" to try but on long safe stretches of road I also use the,"Thumb-Over" technique for short periods to rest my throttle and clutch hands.

This just means bringing the thumb on top of the throttle and not gripping it but using the palm/heel of the hand to hold position. As stated only useful on longer safe/empty stretches of road with no side-roads/turn offs that would require fast action but can give needed relief for short periods.
