Well you know me, I am sensible, if no fire is allowed, then I won't make a fire. But you as an army bod should know, first thing in a survival situation is to make a fire, its a huge morale boost! Camp fires are great, there are marshmallows, sausages on sticks (i once cooked and ate a raw piece of bacon on a rusty pole ), brews, er, fire. Its all good. Sitting around a fire drinking is the best. Maybe they will have a dedicated camp fire site? Sometimes they do.
