With Skip using his DRZ for the rideout I don't actually think he'll make it to the next one. I think Skip said the bike can do about 80 miles and after St Neots there's not another stop en-route for a good while.

Im quite happy to stop and top up, otherwise it'll be a tight run back to red lodge.

Ralph - Happy to let you have my mobile number so when you leave home you can let us know where you'll be, or just to let us know if you cant make it and then we can decide whether to stop or not

OK, weather forecast doesn't look horrendous, I've found a place in Northampton that can supply a part I need for the XT600 tomorrow, so I should have at least one bike to choose from, and the wife is now briefed to say I'll be gone at least half of the day Sunday.

1. Skip
2. Glen (SV rider I work with)
3. Kaivalagi
4. KJ
5. Paddy T
6. -Ralph-

I'll sort out whether I'll meet you at the start point or en-route once I know what bike I'll be riding.

Welcome aboard

The first impression I had was the same as you on my first ride with Skip....but I do think that it is just something we all become on a bike (now and then) with time

I don't see it as a big deal to stop and wait somewhere for a tiny bit, if the sun is shining then an ice cream in St Neots would go down nicely

edit: took my time posting didn't I....that'll teach me to go make a cup of tea half way through my reply...

Welcome Glen

I don't know where I got this reputation from

No problem waiting for you Ralph - I have a pass for all day so the odd elongated stop is no problem at all

Got a new rear Michelin Pilot Power on the DRZ now and first impressions are good - its all stripped down now waiting for the sat-nav power add-on - then we are good to go

Really looking forward to this

Cool! Can we meet at Tesco's in St Neots then? You won't have to wait for me, I'll be there before you.

So I'm looking for a KTM SMT, DRZ SM, CBR (KJ?), and two SV's!

I'll probably be on a black Yamaha XT600E, but possibly a Yellow Triumph Daytona 955i if it's fixed.

Sounds good to me - the DRZ usually splutters onto reserve at about 80-85 miles and I know that it will do at least 25 miles on whats left so its not quite as bad as I made out!

Hopefully see you there then Ralph

If you are up for an early start we can take a windy way down to Red Lodge - seems a shame (and a daunting task!) to ride from Wymondham to Red Lodge using just the A11 *gulp*
