we might come over on the friday night especially as there is a rideout planned for saturday

I'll check out the travel lodge and premier lodge i Bristol and if anyone else needs accommodation give me a shout and i'll book it when i book mine if you like

Ok, the one by the Bus Station is the Premier Lodge Haymarket and theres aslo one of those on King St which is a great if 'lively' venue right on the water on the old Bristol quays. Fun place. Its roight by the Llandogger Trow a **** but pretty pub legend says was the idea for the inn in Treasure Island. The Old Duke is the well known jazz pub just nearby.

The other one in a quiter but nice location although on a busier road (but probably quieter than King St!!) is the Travelodge Bristol Central on Anchor Rd. Close to Park St and opposite the science centre/IMAX/waterfront etc. This one may be better for secure parking although unsure of arrangements at others

I may be in Bristol that weekend anyway getting the bike serviced, the bike will be off the road for the ride but I may be able to join you on the evening it that's ok. If I am allowed to bring the misses as well as my SV riding sister and her fella that is.

Not sure I'm gonna book one night (sat 19th) but get to Bristol early Saturday morning for the rideout etc then book into the hotel then - that sound OK? we can chat about it on Thursday night decide which hotel and i'll sort it out on Friday
