Just as I got into my road it was flooded! Great. Now it's raining hard again! Car I think tonight I am not getting soaked again!
sounds about like my journey home this eve! oh, and add to that the fact that most of the roads were like rivers and more than once i had cars coming the other way splash water over me right up to my head!! Still, at least the water was fairly warm!!

having dried off, currently contemplating whether i can bring myself to go back out in it again...hmm...

And if the M4 is looking dodgy then there are routes from J8/9 through to either Ascot or Bracknell. [/curious]
I work in Uxbridge and live in Farnborough and the motorways are the fastest way home. I do know a non-motorway route home but I knew that going through Windsor there would be flooding etc. so avoided it. Plus the other way takes twice as long normally.

Yep, did M40 in the sun, M25 in the tropical downpour, lightning, hail, etc - I'd have been dryer if I'd tried to ride along the Thames

Good ride home through the mist

Yer well the makers of my waterproof trousers decided they needed pocket holes... what a stupid idea! Ok so they are ment for rambling not riding at high speeds in a huge storm but thats not the point!

heh im sure it will, I may just close my eyes and pull on the throttle that should get me to work quicker (but maybe in multiple peices).

Mr. Toad... Mist? What Mist? I think that was your visor :P

Was jolly nice to meet you all....again. Sorry I did not get to speak to you all but I'm a little shy.........honest!

Stu it's a small world. Hopefully catch up with Falc and Law tomorrow. Nice chatting with you Tara about wedding stuff (although it does make me nervous when I realise how close it is!) The missus enjoyed it too and she wil come again next time. Thinking about it, it can only get better being as we came down on the bike and got pelted with raindrops the size of gobstoppers!
