Re: Vintage film cameras
The Nikkor was a little wobbly when I got it, I sorted that out, but the focus is off at infinity . It needs setting at closest zoom and max zoom. There is a guide, but I couldn't get it right.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Ah, I see what you mean now. 35 doesn't seem too bad but it's more apparent at 70. The focus movement between 15 feet and infinity is tiny too.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Here's the review/repair guide.
https://richardhaw.com/2020/07/04/re...-3-3-4-5-ai-s/ Setting the focus is right at the bottom. I can't remember if I glued the focus grip on though. Probably best to repair your one. Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk

Re: Vintage film cameras
800 pages and a gnat's todger short of 8000 posts! Mainly GAS of course, which for the lurkers seems to be an accepted acronym in the world of old cameras, where coveting generally trumps shooting - Gear Acquisition Syndrome. We have all spent time in the jungle there.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I'm out of the jungle and chilling in the lodge at the moment. But, I suspect I'll be out there again soon! So, who is going to be number 8000?

Re: Vintage film cameras
I suppose you could say the comments on cameras might be better on a photography forum

It's the appropriate place for such discussion amongst folk who also have an interest in riding motorcycles. Last edited by garynortheast; 28-10-21 at 07:45 AM. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Agreed, we all have other interests besides bikes. If this was a physical bike club we'd probably talk about other things over our coffee/beer.
