Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
silly people up here have been reading into things wrong, they think alcohol kills the CV so they have all been going out and getting pizzed... NO you morons it kills the CV if you use it on your hands just like a gel sanitiser. but hey any excuse
all the supermarkets in my town are limiting 2 items per household, if your caught bringing family/friends in to bulk buy your barred from that store for LIFE. too little to late i say but its a step in the right direction. i wonder if 2x24 crates of beer count as 2 items |

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
We had to buy 4 miniature tins of baked beans the other day just to get the same quantity as one normal size can as the normal tins had been carried out by the crate load.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
I went to the local Tesco on Tuesday and it was fine. There was bog roll, tissues and most things available.
I went again after work Wednesday evening and the place had been absolutely ravaged. Not even any fresh meat or milk, no sausages, bread, tins .... and parents at the pharmacy being told to come back at 6am the following morning when there might be new stocks of Calpol. The outlook wasn't too bad. A bit of an imagination and preparedness to live off beer, Ice cream, frozen broccoli and gluten free items and it'll be reet. |

I said that in that accent this morning on our daily team call as we're all on enforced WFH as of Tuesday. Raised a few laughs. Later in the day we had descended to discussing favourite classic Disney films on our department group chat, which I could tell was annoying the boss...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
The fairly slow response to CV here in NI. I'm a cleaner in a factory which employs hundreds of people, we do not have materials capable of the jobs we do before viral outbreaks, there has been little advice except wash your hands and reducing canteen tables from 6 chairs to 4. My direct employers have so far said nothing regarding what would happen should the factory gates close, particularly regarding £
I live with my mum who is a kidney failure patient currently on a medical trial so she's very much vulnerable to anything that I may carry home with me, even asymptomatic. Isolation is a family affair with my sister and 11month old nephew as much in house here, as she is her own. |

Was in town this morning and Savers store got toilet roll. People queued out the door and down the road. One person had three 18 packs. So greedy and selfish . Thats two other people who can't buy a pack.
