I think it's fixed focus, kinda like hyperfocal.

That's nice work on the Praktica Kenzie, way beyond my skillset.
I fixed up the Nikkor this morning, which wasn't nearly so difficult. Mine on the left; yours on the right. You can see what the problem was. |

Wow, what happened to that? Glad you got it sorted anyway, the lens was just sitting in the cupboard. Sod it, I put an offer in for the pan focus lens. Just have to wait and see.
