i've picked up another XD5, don't know why. It was on one of the ebay charity shop sites with a Tokina ATX 28-80 listed as untested/spares and repair but at a bargain price. I was the only bidder and struck lucky. It's in great nick and working perfectly. Lens is clean too.

Sorry I haven't replied, started a new job and hadn't seen the reply. Was it a good deal on the XD5? I had one that I found at a car boot sale but it never worked properly. I do have the XD7 that I found on marketplace. As with all Minoltas, they are a nice camera. Quite compact and feature filled.

The XDs are wonderful. The loveliest sounding shutter there is. Only £13.99 for the camera and lens so a good deal I think. Only missing the self timer lever. Not a worry as I rarely use them but the perfectionist in me will want to look for a junk XD to cannibalise.
Good that you found a new job so quickly. What did you go for? |

Port work. I think I have an XD carcass, I'll see if the self timer lever is still there or not.

Impressive. Looks like you've out and about reducing the length of your camera queue.
No worries about the timer lever. I bagged a junk xd5 for 11 quid. |

Blimey, I've just posted off a couple of rolls of Lomo 800, I got them for Christmas so it's been most of the year on them! One I loaded in summer (Contessamat), the other back in Jan (Super A).
How's the new job going? Congrats by the way. |

I know you lot are a little slower with your films, maybe I need to ease off as my stash is dwindling. All going well so far, just waiting for more training.
