Did you know that a tank is called a tank because the people who built the first one thought they were making parts for a boiler! and it was built on the site in Lincoln which now homes Napier turbochargers!

Also the colour british racing green was first called so after the first world war when trying to organise an international race , it couldn't be held in england due to the lack of venue, so it was held in Ireland. To honour our hosts the british entry was painted green and so British racing green was born. The car was a Napier car which is the company I currently work for and we now make industrial turbochargers!

Why are problems in computers called BUGS....
Because:- The first computer "bug" was a real bug.
In 1947, engineers found a moth in Panel F, Relay #70 of the Harvard Mark 1 system. The computer was running a test of its multiplier and adder when the engineers noticed something was wrong. The moth was trapped, removed and taped into the computer's logbook with the words: "first actual case of a bug being found."
