Re: The running thread.
I managed to get a quick 5 miler in after work, I'm hoping to get back into my Friday eve routine of running as soon as I get home. I even did the old route. It was nice. Shame about stacking it trying to outwit gravity whilst running across a muddy camber. Gravity won. I looked like I'd just done my own mudrun.
"Unproductive", ever so better than "Overreaching". 41.3 miles.

Re: The running thread.
15 miles done on Sunday morning, being honest this distance is a little out of my comfort zone. I could feel why my watch was telling me I'm being unproductive!
Hopefully in a month or so both me and the watch will feel better about it. (At the moment, I'm not sure how the hell I'm going to get around 26.2 miles - probably much slower)

Re: The running thread.
First run for I don't know how long!
3.62 miles and very muddy most of the way round but both easier and considerably quicker than I thought it would be! Just need to make sure I get out more regularly now for some much needed head space. |

Re: The running thread.
After last nights run, I have clocked 105.6 miles so far this year, and I'm hoping I can sneak out on Friday eve.
But Happy with that as I'm already beating last year - even if only by a mile. I am aiming to do 1000 miles this year, I started last year with the same goal, but didn't quite make it. And only got to around 664. I'm going to try harder this year. Plus I have the Cambridge Half Marathon and the North Norfolk Marathon to train for.

Re: The running thread.
That is some ridiculous mileage! That's probably more than some orgers put on their bike in a year
Fair play though, you are very committed! How many times a week are you out? |

Re: The running thread.
Thanks Darren. I try to get out 3 - 4 times a week. Ranging from a 5k lunch run, to 14/15 miles Sunday run.

Re: The running thread.
As for bike mileage. I've done over 2200 miles on the Gixer since Oct.
My brother in law had done less than 600 in 6 years.

Re: The running thread.
100 miles a year? Wow that's pointless lol
I just went out for a slow jog and managed 6 miles. That's the furthest I've ever gone lol I did have to stop a few times on the way back because I was running in to a strong wind and it was killing me |

Re: The running thread.
Hats off for pushing your comfort boundaries.
The last year it didn't move, and the year before it did about 30 miles. So yeah it needed a new home.

Re: The running thread.
I got out this evening just before it got dark. Bringing Jan's total to 112.00. I pushed myself so my legs are feeling it now.
