Gripe of the day - What is yours?

I wish it was a broken bone. Then they would have put a cast on it and it'd have started to heal. I have severed the ligament that holds my clavical to my shoulder. So far they have done nothing to help fix anything.

And to make the whole situation even more screwed.

My kids have all been isolating from school since Monday. My middle one developed a temperature Thursday night. Same day as my off. So my missus booked him a test yesterday morning.

This morning we got the result back. POSITIVE!!! That's me well and truly ****ed. As now I can't leave the house for another 12 days. My appointment with the specialist is in 5!!

My gripe is slightly less serious . Had a dream I resprayed my SV and I didn’t bother keying it in . Woke up furious with myself, still mad at lazy dream me now.

Part of me thinks people like this are selfish for putting their own enjoyment of Chrimbo before their kid's long term education, but then part of me cannot really blame them after such a rubbish year. Personally I'm avoiding everyone I can so I am not struck down before going down to Brighton on Saturday to pick up The Monkey who's spending two weeks at home with us (she's isolating too in preparation bless her). Schools are terrible for spreading the plague - one of my project managers is now in isolation after his 11 year old tested positive on Thursday following some of her class mates going down with it.

Everywhere they kept open has been a hub for it spreading, as they are all places in which people spend all day and people from more than a few house holds are mixing.
For the younger kids i think they should be in the classroom, but for the older ones who could do it remotely that's how it should be - or at least there should be rotations between remote learning & attending class.

Really bad luck. I tore a ligament in my leg years ago falling into a foundation trench and that was painful. I don't remember the doctor doing anything about it , just takes time to heal.

People who still don't keep their distance in public. I was queueing to go in to a shop and an older lady (certainly 60+) stood close behind me (less than 1M). I nudge myself forward to increase the gap, and she follows. I turn around and tell her i am moving forward to keep my distance - please step back. She responds with "oh, sorry. i didn't realise". Moron. I resisted ranting back at her about all these signs which were everywhere reminding you to keep your distance, & asking WTF she had been doing the past 9 months when in public spaces.
How do these people still walk among us and be so far removed from how to behave,

Strewth Martin! As they say, "It never rains but it pours". Hope this is just life's way of getting all the crap over and done with in one go and you have an easier ride for next year!
