Just done an hourly check call and got comfy again, hear a familiar noise outside (an Audi). The oncall rota are coming in, no Z's for a while

Insurance again. Got a quote that was ok a week or so ago. Went to go through with it and it's expired, so requoted (through MCN compare again). Every quote from every company has gone up £100. Why? My details, bike details etc are exactly the same as the previous quote? Shows how weird the way they calculate insurance is and how it doesn't necessarily relate to the details they get from you. Something else is at play?

They're probably going to blame Brexit for yet another ridiculous price hike.

And to make the whole situation even more screwed.

My kids have all been isolating from school since Monday. My middle one developed a temperature Thursday night. Same day as my off. So my missus booked him a test yesterday morning.

This morning we got the result back. POSITIVE!!! That's me well and truly ****ed. As now I can't leave the house for another 12 days. My appointment with the specialist is in 5!!

Bugger.

Ditto what Gary said. Hope this is all your bad crap out of the way at once and you have a good year ahead and a speedy recovery! Take it easy. At least the weather is crap and it's the best time of year to stay indoors. Not much consolation though I know.

Check the latest figures in your area for insurance claims, and the risk level your postcode is in.
Most the cost is not related to you, but your vehicle and local area + claims.

Tried the same details again today and got quotes £45 less than yesterday. Still more expesive than the previous ones. Could it be based on when you apply for it? Saturday evening applications they think they can charge more? Wouldn't surprise me.

I wasn't aware of that . We're in an "A" area. So rated as very safe.

All quotes I'm getting are based on the same details (same location, garaged, my status etc) though and the prices keep changing.

Time of day, day of inquiry, time to start of policy, cookies and comparison site used all make a difference. Shouldn't, as it has no affect on risk, but does.
