Mark, you should have gone through Thetford and taken the A1066 through Garboldisham and Diss joining the A140 at Scole. Lovely sweeping open road with little traffic and only a little longer than taking the boring A11.

Default Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Modern office technology. Or rather people's use of it.

"I've sent you an email. It says blah, blah, blah"
Thank you for telling me. That'll explain the little bold number 1 in my inbox and the message from you. I will now delete your email as you have hijacked my time and reprioritised my workload. Did you use to put a memo in my in tray an then run round to tell me all about it?

"Your phone is ringing"
Thank you so much. I was confused by the ringing sound coming my pocket, or from the big black phone shaped lump on my desk not 6" from my right hand.

Default Gripe of the day - What is yours?

People can be pedantic, but their butt holes can't.

Default Gripe of the day - What is yours?

My other gripes today:
Why don't children ever believe their parents might actually know something about bicycles or swimming?

Contractors telling you that their equipment is working perfectly in your building when you are standing next to it and they are miles away. It isn't working perfectly, it's blown up you moron.

switch off and switch it on again.. now breathe .Credit card companies that do 0% balance transfers and insist total amount spent per month + balance transfer must be cleared else interest is charged on spent amount! ( only the irish could think this is a sensible idea)

I pity the fool that has just bought a new car on that credit card with a balance transfer and even if they cleared the amount for the new car will be left with interest on that amount added on!

Not even sure that's legal. Most credit card companies changed their T&Cs a while back to ensure that you paid off the highest interest debt first. If I'd been caught in the trap you describe I'd certainly be thinking of referring it to the ombudsman.
