Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I've tinkered with my credit card. 12k service at BMW plus MOT, £340. But they did wash the bike for me.

Free MOT and service with every bike wash?
I've tinkered with my garage. Car load to the tip, 13 bin liners of stuff to charity and a car load sold at car boot. Room now to park a bike and ability to get to the camping gear, which is handy as I'm going camping in the morning. |

I took the baffles out of my arrow cans for the first time today. Sweet jesus what an awesome sound!
So addictive, especially the pops on the overrun. A bit obnoxious in town, but damn they sound good. And that is with the cat still fitted! |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I've been on my hands and knees scrubbing the decking. A hateful job. Looks good now though.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Been very busy past month or so;
Brought a little caravan to make it into a bike trailer. A mate was waiting at mine when I got home with the caravan and offered me x 3 what I paid for it, so sold that. Picked up another bike. 1998 yamaha dragstar classic in matt black. Has a hyper charger, full V&H exhaust, saddle bags, sissy bar etc etc. Wasnt my idea, girlfriend refused to pillion on the SV so when the dragqueen sorry dragstar came up from a fella at work for £800 I bit his hand off. Looks cool and is proper loud but SLOW, and interesting handling compared to the SV. Still, £125 per year to insure both bikes aint bad. Landlord has cleared his crap outta the garage so I now have the whole double garage. Still fiddling with my KLX250 project. Its popping and back firing but wont catch and hold so gonna try push starting it when the chain and gear lever arrive. Managed to get a proper single bike trailer for £50 locally, mates coming round to do some welding on it for me then it'll be getting a nice coat of paint. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Tried to do an oil change on the Clio. The filter put up a good fight and defeated two different wrenches but it couldn't survive the bloody great screwdriver impaled through its middle. The Clio had the last laugh though as the stupid French use a square socket on the sump bolt which I had no answer to.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
my new spaznav. just playing with the settings and a dummy route and noticed i can set the duration of waypoints for a stopping time for such things as rests and lunch. this will now give me a better indication of how long a day out will actually be in the arrival time indicator. supppperrrbbbb
wish they would include it in Tyre. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
not yet but he is very helpful and prompt as i asked how to change a default setting a while ago.
might fire him another PM asking for the feature. i have had a few plays now with old routes that i know how long they take including stops and such and its pretty spot on for the arrival time on the spaznav. i'm well happy. i can also load up a few routes for weekends away and set date/time start times as well. only thing i dont like compared to my older one is if i miss a waypoint it wants to take me back to it where the old one just ignored it and continued on. |
