Peeps - it's a lot bigger than I thought it would be!! Can I please ask people to make the marker system work - no ignoring markers please. I will be leading - at least some of the way - as I'm not the fastest, it's quite likely that somebody else will take over.

I will be doing a recce on 21st, will post final details after that.

Whatever, I will post clear step by step instructions, and give a pre-briefing (to smaller groups, it'll be impossible to yell at 50 people!) before we all set off and there aren't in fact that many junctions where you can go seriously wrong. For example, I can only think of 4 or 5 between here and the first stop - the Pondy - that's about 45 - 50 miles - being:

• the 4th roundabout (this includes the one at S'bury Services) up the A49, we take second left onto Battlefield Link Road. It is deffo signed for Ellesmere and the A528.
• the next r/bout (not the mini one for the industrial estate!) with the A528, you must turn right onto the A528 for Ellesmere. Again it is signed. 14 miles later, you get to Ellesmere, one well-signed left fork needed at Harmer Hill.
• in Ellesmere, you must turn right to stay on the A528 headed for Overton and Wrexham. Again, signed. Brings you straight into Overton-on-Dee.
• in Overton you must turn left to stay on the A528 headed for Wrexham. Again, signed. It would bring you straight into Wrexham, only we don't go that far!!!!!!!!! ------>
• about 2 or 3 miles on, not long after the bottom of the hill, you must turn left onto the A539 (I think) for Ruabon (it is signed) and go straight on (well there is a left turn to avoid Ruabon town centre, but it's obvious) to Llangollen and straight on up the Horseshoe Pass. This brings you straight into The Ponderosa.

The route was designed to be fairly straightforward...

I'll post the rest after I've done the recce. Was planning to post some pics of the road signs.

Sounds good to me, I think knowing a few of the peeps on the list you will have no end of people happy to help, me included you only need but ask looking at the route, it could top mm1!!! Now that's saying something. LOL.

Not to put too much of a damper on things for those planning a fast ride or racing to the front to mark..... But N. Wales Police have announced they will be getting tougher with speeders.....
