Re: Help, I've screwed up the bottom shock bolt
Could there be washers missing from inside the dogbones?

Re: Help, I've screwed up the bottom shock bolt
I was just discussing this with my landlord.
If I could put a washer on each dogbone bolt it would give me enough clearance. The washer would need to go on the inside face of the dog bone but as long as it was a decent fit washer, I reckon that would do it. What say the org? The dogbones current do not have any washers, are they supposed to? I didnt think so because the nuts are flanged. This could be an easy and importantly inexpensive solution. |

Re: Help, I've screwed up the bottom shock bolt
i haven't used one but its a common one when doing shock swaps for curvy and pointy.
i don't know how your bolt is touching the dogbone as the bearing spacer is the same size as the pointy and mine is fine. i'll ask the question again. have you tried turning the bolt round the other way? if i don't fit the bolt the other way it fouls the dogbone, don't ask why as i haven't a fekin clue as it should make no odds but it does. |

No Bibs, I haven't tried this one the other way round I don't think! I will try again tonight though as long as it isn't raining.
I called Nitron and he suggested that also. Again, he said that is what he's had to do with some bikes. Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

By the way Nitron said they now also do a clevis which is identical to the OEM shock - i.e thread built into one side of the clevis.
If I have no joy with turning it around he said they'll swap it for me |
