Brands Hatch Indy - April 24th

uh-oh! am hoping the big thunderstorm we've got here right now doesn't hit Brands!

You never know a thunderbolt hitting someone's Harris might have a good effect! I saw that gloom coming over too.

We've been having thunderstorms passing over head all day here (Croydon)... hopefully the sun dances will make them all divert

Well we had some spectacular rain and hail and thunderstorms - and I was out when it hit, that session, not surprisingly was cut short.

Overall was a good day, no-one came off the track, and everyone had fun.

3 Photographers (excluding the offical trackday one) so pics will be following I am sure.

The Zed is FAR better than I am on track.

Only had one moment whe, and I admit it, I was pushing myself a bit to keep up with Swiss and I bodged a downshift going into Paddock, back end twitched a bit.

Got a real education from Cazza tho, for all the extra power etc of my bike, I couldn't really keep up with her for more than a lap or two.

So still Captain Slow, but hey I didnt bin it, and so I dont care

A good day was had by all I hope

We had a mixed bag of weather, sun, rain, thunder, hail, and overcast. I must say the soho/selkent spirit of determination to ride through anything was very impressive.

The session for group 1 that got rained, then hailed on saw Lucky get into the pits, throw on waterproofs and get out on track before the marshals realised, giving him a lap or 2 of brands to himself! Cazza was throwing on waterproofs and backing the bike out of the garage before they called an end to the session!

No one came off (in fact there were only 2 offs in the day that I saw and both were from the fast group, not one of ours!)

I had a great day, I can thoroughly recommend the Avon Vipers for all weather conditions, simply superb tyres.
