Useful - anyone ever used ccc explorer spray? A climber recommended it to me.

I have 2.5mm in the centre and 4mm at the edges of the rear. The front will last I'm sure. I'll be doing over 1300 miles on this trip and that is the rub.

Scottish folks, is there anywhere to get tyres in the Inverness area?

Just smear a good dollop of silicon grease around the spark plug cap on the front cylinder - sorted my curvy out a treat.

Dont worry about the midgies folks. it goes like this.

They are born, they feed, they mate, they lay eggs they die.

The feeding bit is on us, however they land they suck a little blood, the whisky in the bloodstream causes almost instant liver failure due to their size, their mates see this and quickly pass the word to avoid the ginger haired one and feast on the southern invaders.

Little known fact is that it was actually the midgie horde that turned the tide at bannockburn, not Mr Wallaces tactics.

The campsite probably sell the net hat things, but if you wear one you can go and stand in the corner with the germans, in fact you'd be better putting an old pair of tights over your head.

As with all repellants, ASSS only works when they land on you, it does not stop them landing only helps limit the amount of biting.

In all seriousness they are a nusiance, nothing more, worst case scenario you go home looking like youv'e got measles, they dont carry any human infections.

If you want more information see Here

It's a good tip james - it's already my standard practise (How I've gone so long without replacing my stolen fender extender)

Elgin is you're best bet for dealers and garages.
Can't think of any off the top of my head.

Theres at least 2 places in Elgin, not sure if thats too far away for you.
PM The Juj, he knows some of them personally.
