Beware, the pedantic high horse has many hands, Grasshopper.

One tries to utilise a varied vocabulary and apply a modicum of exactitude in grammatical format, but even one must confess to the occasional multiple ellipsis .....................purely for effect you understand.

My my, what has this forum turned into?

I wasn’t aware that I had to spell check all my posts and correct all my grammar before I hit submit.

I agree that posts should be readable and a attempt at getting spelling correct is appreciated however if people are going to berate posts and users for NOT adding the correct punctuation to their posts, then quite frankly why are people surprised that members are drifting away from the org?

I will use punctuation and words to express how I feel or the emotion I am trying to convey in my posts. The fact that the OP was read by many as a rant and not as a "humours attempt" at bettering the org says quite clearly that the author failed to convey the correct emotion he was going for!

Language is forever changing and always will. It is part of society developing and evolving with the times.

I agree with this. It is quite different to many other languages that have an appointed body governing what is correct and what is not - which is a shame as Miss Ophic and I often argue over what is correct, and there is often no definitive answer.

"Catched" is apparently now considered correct English, which most people find abhorrent.

Lol I have pointed out that exact one in the past too. It expands to "burglarization", better known as "burgling"

"Utilized" is perfectly correct but means the same as "use"
