Grapes...Grapes???

Last time I went to visit a good mate after a very horrific bike accident, he gave the grapes to his wife, and while she wasn't in the room we asked if he had any requests for the day after....he ate the Kentucky fried Chicken like some poor starved animal!

''awwwww you don't know how marvellous that tastes, just don't tell Janet''

Was all we heard that lunchtime, and Janet still doesn't know we sneaked it in, while she was at work

glad to hear your mates on the mend. you need to make sure YOU get some rest. Sounds like his internals are not as bad as feared at first if he has been moved to a normal ward..good new I hope.

That's great news!

But if you do sneak in bike mags, maybe make sure he hides them from his missus for the time being, eh?!

I got Macca D's snuck in for me when I was on a heart ward...twice!! I laughed in the drooling faces as all the other knackered chaps looked on with wide pleading eyes, and a rivulet of burger fat dribbled down my chin but was caught with a deft wipe of a strategically positioned french fry...

....oh yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

Edit: Sorry Loz - got carried away there for a bit - good news about your mate!!

When my mate was in hospital with a broken leg, arm, jaw and thumb after being run over I posted him some gay porn mags (he's not gay), knowing full well that the nurse would have to open the envelope on his behalf. As if that wasn't bad enough, she then left them on his bedside table which of course he couldn't reach as he was in traction. He had to press the emergency button when he heard his very religious Italian Catholic mother arriving as he realised that if she spotted them he'd have a lot of explaining to do!

On reflection, he might have preferred grapes.
