I'm sure there are plenty of people who had 'bigger sacks' than yours on two wheels and prob aren't around to tell the tale.
It's not the size of sack I am on about, it's this constant whinging about "I fell off, shall I get back on a bike again?" or "I fell off, what did I do wrong?". You know what you did wrong, it's written all over the fairing of your bike in big deep scratches. Pick it up, get back on and ride it away - that's growing a sack.

Motorcycling is dangerous, that's the most part of the fun of it for me and many other motorcyclists. You'll fall off now and again, or if you are a tw4t you'll fall off frequently. I'm just saying you should rise above the falls and get back on and learn how to ride the damn thing properly, and cut the analyising out. Do Bikesafe, do advanced training, do trackdays, but ffs spare me the "Every time I see brake lights/bends/gravel I think of my wife and kids and how they'd feel if I died" crap. If riding scares you that much, get off the bloody road cos I don't want riders like that anywhere near me when I'm out having fun.

Sorry if it's a bit blunt, but I'm sick and tired of everyone trying to make motorcycling super-safe for me and everyone else. Honda have been doing it by producing bland motorbikes for over 50 years, so if motorcycling scares you, buy a bloody Honda and STFU

I don't get the "I love it because it's dangerous" attitude at all. I think that's just some cheesy chat-up line nonsense.

But doesn't the thrill of living a knife edge away from instant death show your virility

Perhaps. I know nothing impresses the ladies more than a cheerful game of Russian Roulette at the end of a pleasant evening. I love Russian Roulette because it's dangerous.

I don't get the ' I love it cause its dangerous' either.
Motorcycling doesn't scare me, I ride how I ride, I am neither dangerous to myself or others. I bought a scary mother of a bike to me, with a reputation for being a bit of an animal(when in reality its a pussy cat and a girls bike ), but my attitude towards riding does not match the reputation of the bike and never will. I won't change my spots just because I have 110BHP under my crotch or 150+MPH at the throttle, nor will I wave my crotch about to make people jump to join in the danger game.

Probably why I'm still here, and others won't be.
