another update: police have contacted eviltwin and he's got to go to the police station with his licence etc and they've written to him and asked him to give them more details about the accident (i think he already told them everything at the scene though)

question on form to fill out for the police:
"do you think that the offender should be prosecuted?" |

er now let me see...
![]() ![]() actually that reminds me - we saw the forms submitted by witnesses after etienne's accident last year (some girl drove into the back of him while he was stationary in a traffic queue). One witness said she thought etienne should be prosecuted for his part in the accident as he had filtered past her car earlier - even though on the same piece of paper she stated that he hadn't at any point been speeding/riding recklessly. go figure?!! ![]() IMO that is the most stupid question ever... |

Whilst this may seem a strage question you need to think about it serioulsy, whislt there actions were unforgivable it was not deliberate but was avoidable... we are all aware of the extra risk that riding a bike incurrs, such as smidsy's. try and put the boot on the other foot, if you were missfortunate enough to do the same would you feel that being prosecuted was fair after all it was an accident, not a "deliberate", and as far as i have been made aware the driver was not uninsured, drunk or under any illegal influence to worsen the sittuation. |
