Re: The running thread.
Lovely sunny five miler on the local trails. Had a couple of stops at the river to let Mabel have a drink and a swim (and to retrieve yet more silage wrap from the overhanging trees - grrrrr!!).

Re: The running thread.
Been out for a couple of short runs, need to build up my distance again after having a lot of time off running because of my knee.
Running around my way isn’t great, can use the fields out the back of my house but they’re so uneven it’s slowing me down and I even tweaked my ankle slightly yesterday. Not much in the way of footpaths and everyone seems to be treating the roads like race tracks at the moment as well

I’m constantly aware of just how fortunate I am to be living where I do. Well done on getting out there though. Look after that knee! Last edited by garynortheast; 19-04-20 at 09:54 PM. |

Re: The running thread.
After sitting on my ass for 3 weeks I've been out a couple of times recently and my calf muscles near my ankles are hating life right now. I'm going to try to get out every 2 days and build up my distance again.

Re: The running thread.
I know the feeling Darren, although it’s not been three weeks for me. A week is still too long between runs in my case though. Ran yesterday and going to try for an early morning run tomorrow, before it gets too warm for me and the hound.

Re: The running thread.
Absolutely glorious 4.7 mile run this evening in the cooler air. The birds were singing their heads off, several jays flying around and two hares ran up the trails in front of me.
There are some pictures posted on Strava. |

Re: The running thread.
Now that I'm Furloughed, as of Monday. I'd hoped to get out for a run daily. However Sods Law said otherwise, and I twinged my back picking up an empty jerrycan Monday morning. Probably more to do with jumping on the trampoline with my skids on Sunday. But now I can just about manage a daily walk with them instead.
