Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Got an e-bike for the wife a couple of years ago because of her arthritis. Its given us a new lease of cycling life. Its not a high end or inconspicuous one, its Bosch motor sticks out a mile, but it has a 60 -80 mile range and it works well. Downside it is heavy. Its a couple of inches longer than a normal bike which may not sound much but access points to trails with motorcycle barriers can take a bit of manoeuvring. Had to modify the rack on the motorhome to take its length, it also takes some lifting up.
She struggles adapting to the disc brakes as they are a bit fierce, Shimano M200s - Have you any insight Adam as to what pads I could fit that would give a more progressive response? |

Organic pads will be less harsh than sintered, but get infected easily with road grime and oil. You could swap out to a cable break on front to soften it up. The Tektro Spyre or Spyke are good (depending on if you have flat or drop bars).

Oops. They're made by TRP not Tektro. Brain has gone to mush on a rare day off.

Not hay-fever is it Bibs? I've been suffering with it for a week or two now that trees are flowering.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Not funny how hay fever seasons coincide with biking season.. tree pollen can be around from February, then all the other flowers in spring and summer, and worst of all is he grass pollen through summer....
