Default TT Races 2013

Hi all,

After a little bit of advice...

I want to go to the TT races next year and would like to start the ball rolling. Having not been before, I was recommended accommodation know as 'snoozebox'. So having googled them, everything is great but prices differ to dates so I then need to see what racing I want to see as to when to book for.

No schedule is on the TT site at the moment and just wondering what everyone else does with regards to booking up? Do you wait until the schedule is released? Is the schedule pretty much the same every year e.g. A particular race on the same day each year?

Thanks in advance.

You're considering paying £199pn during race week??!!

Have you thought of camping (details available from the TT website) - it would cost a fraction of that - & that way you could do the whole week / fortnight

Also depending where you want to travel from & assuming you're taking a bike you'll probably want to book your ferry pronto as they get sold out VERY quick. Most people I know who go booked for 2013 within a week of returning from this year's event.

saw snoozebox this year, its rip off. its tiny, much better in a b&b

BTW if you haven't booked your ferry you wont be going, certainly not on the bike anyway as the current spaces were fully booked as of about 2 weeks ago.

you should find a space on as foot passenger. if you can prebook a lounge seat on the boat as there are fook all seats, we were on a night crossing and people were sleeping outside on the benches on deck .

we booked up the week bookings opened and still didn't get the ferry times we wanted, having to stay on for 2 days after it ends i think

As WB said, good luck getting on a boat, I know the site I used this year is already fully booked for the TT fortnight. Work on over a grand for 5 days (digs and ferry)

I'm booking soon for July 2013 as the crossings from Heysham (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) were really busy this year (to and from).

You should still be able to get some ferries to Isle of mann, it may be in the wee hours of the morning though via belfast.

I was at the TT last year and if you can get it I would reccomend a B&B. It means a warm dry place to store your stuff and means that your bike is nice and light when you're on the island itself.

Snoozebox was a rip off, really a last resort in my opinion (after camping).

"Also what was the Ferry?" Its a big boat that gets people to the island from the UK Mainland... don't know if that helps at all?

: o)

As an aside.. I was planning on going to TT 2013..... it would be great to know who else is there so we can all meet around the circuit.
