Re: Ar 2013
So It look s as if it's gonna have to be a GM weekender with an invite to the entire Org with lot's of notice so folks have time to make themselves available.
Good roads "check", Road knowledge? MMMM may take some working on, although we do have Dad, Job and Grandaddyjob if he can be persuaded? Even I am starting to get my bearings round here, second man marking could be used as a last resort, but outriders do make for a swifter pace, that does of course mean they need to be swifter than the pack. We need a pub/cafe meet to discuss this properly, otherwise we'll wear out our keyboards typing, and if the discussions for a GM Weekender are not to be derailed by hundreds of posts, best to keep it off the forum until we have a plan. |

Hang on. What's happened with the GM? There was no one in here a few months back and now there's talk of a GMAR. Excellent. We can all camp in DD's back garden .
However, as said it's nit east and there is a bit of work, but is a good experience. Do it ------- Sent from my Sony Xperia S using Tapatalk2 |

Apparently organising the AR is the kiss of death, don't know why people have this view, but they do. The suggestion of a GM weekender is a good one and may alleviate the concerns of the less confident GMers if we put on a good weekend and they see how easy it is to organise a rally. Alas some of the ideas I've had would be better used as part of something a little larger than a GM plus a few camping weekend. |

Re: Ar 2013
I think there's a campsite behind the Neptune (formerly the Percy Hobbs) at the end of the 272 at Winchester.
Not sure where else. |

Re: Ar 2013
At West Meon there is a pub, Loomies, a burger van and all surrounded by fields and good roads, all we need to do is find out who owns the fields surrounding Loomies.
I have a mate who's could organise some live bands for a nominal fee or at a push free, I also have some ideas for some entertainment that will be saved for face to face discussion as they would have to be kept under wraps so to not spoil the surprise! We have our resident route planners, Mark and Job, once we have a route planned the "lunatics" could ride it a few times to get it down pat and then be outriders on the day. Now that is 5 min of planning! Imagine what we could tender by 15th Dec? Also we would have months to make sure those plans bear fruit! |
