Today was a sad day
Today was the day that I finally said goodbye to my bike, a very sad moment to see it being pushed into the back of the van and the doors closed on it. It was a well loved bike for more than 3 years and it was a bit like saying goodbye to an old friend just before it went.
An end of an era, the end of the chapter. Thankfully the book isnt finished yet. |

Re: Today was a sad day
Well at least you've sold it. Concentrate now on getting fit and back onto a bike

Re: Today was a sad day
Fancy an Aprilia Pegaso Factory or Strada. Wanted a single to be a stablemate to the SV (In DRZ form) but now its just the one bike, might just get a big single instead. I know someone who has the old one and loves it and the new one is supposedly much better. Definitely not getting another SV. Was thinking of selling it anyway next year so I guess my mind was made up for me.

Re: Today was a sad day
Nothings put me off them, brilliant bikes and Id recommend one to anyone. I dont think theres anything in the same price bracket which is on par with it in terms of the complete package (for me anyway) but that ones gone, and I dont really want to replace it. I'd feel like I was cheating on it if I did. (Petrol runs deep).

So reincarnation is just a reference to condensed dairy product then?
I am thinking of getting a V-Strom to go to Morrocco and on to Timbuctu hopefully; but I have the same lingering loyalty. Is there a cure? |

Re: Today was a sad day
Glad to hear that you've finally managed to shift the SV, getting prepared to move mine on, going to be weird saying goodbye to my bike for 3 years.
Buts as they say, The King is dead, long live the King. Just make sure you get a new bike to replace it as soon as you're fit enough. |

Re: Today was a sad day
plenty more fish in the sea Rob. you'll get over it. was about to swap mine after 3 years but decided to keep it til next year. I change my mind with the wind and I'm not consistent. one minute I want an FZ1 the next a 999 (cos you can get them for a 3rd the original price), the next an RSV R. just can't decide and got an epic holiday to save for so li'l SV his staying with me for another yr. Aw, that's nice!!
