Default Where to stay in Bala?

Hello Welsh people.

I am coming to wales soon to go white water rafting near a place called Bala. Can anyone recommend a biker friendly place to stay in the area? Somewhere with a covered place to keep the bike would be ideal. Also if they have pretty young waitresses in french maid outfits that would be good too - although not essential.

Ta very much.

For the North Wales Rideouts we stay at Fynnon Wen bunkhouse. Accommodation is good, they have a drying room if the weather not good and can do quality meals at modest cost. No covered parking, but highly unlikely your bikes will go AWOL as it is a bit remote. It is only 15 minutes from Canolfan Tryweryn. Only downside is there is no pub nearby, but you can take your own beers to have round the camp fire!

Do NOT stay at Bala Backpackers, the owner is a complete fruitloop!

If you want a hotel, I'll ask around - I know plenty of folks over there.

Thanks luckypants. Just showed the missus that link and she turned her nose up at it lol. Its meant to be a special treat for her as the rafting this is something she always wanted to do, so i guess she wants a private room with double bed so she can so thanks for the treat - lol.

I'm not one for Fancy hotels though so i suppose a nice pub that does rooms would be an ideal compromise? any more ideas?

Friends, used to own this place. I can't vouch for it since they sold it some years ago. But it was nice when I used to stay there

wow - that place looks pretty tidy. I must make sure my missus doesn't see the link cos she'll love it and i'll end up paying over 200 squids per night. Anyone know of anything at about 50 squid per night, that does nice bar meals and some tasty ales?

Think you might be struggling at £50 a night, but I'm making enquiries....

The word is that the White Lion in Bala is good after being refurbished. Just make sure you get one of the rooms that has been done up!

Dunno there are a few knobs in Bala. Check if they can provide secure parking, if not I know someone that will let you park it in his shop. (50 yards from the hotel)
