Im alive
Well I was just planning to service my bike today for the sv rideout . That was until last night when on the way home from work i stopped at the junction put the women behind carried on taking me and the bike into the junction. not a happy bunny. I came away with a bruised shoulder and neck plus a broken helmet. The bike gear hanger got snapped a chip out the frame, a small dent in the swing arm some how as its under the brake line and wheel that no longer goes in a straight line. Not to sure if its a wright off or not. But hears the best bit my insurance dont seem to care as other driver has admitted fault and told me phone her insuance and have it out with them unless i pay my excess and lose my no claims BAST**DS . Phone her insurance coimpany and they said they will get claims guy to phone me monday i feel like im getting the run around. So with the damage so far is it write off or not im just worried about cracks in the frame.

What insurance do you have? Comprehensive or TPFT?
If TPFT then the insurance companies attitude is pretty normal if comprehensive its reprehensible. The proper proceedure for Comprehensive is, you make a claim and the insurance company fixes replaces your bike, you have to pay the excess and then you calim that excess back from the other drivers insurance. You insurance company claims its losses and once paid your no claims, which will have been suspended, is re-instated. |

Ending up in the middle of a junction doesn't sound like fun. |

Bugger, glad you're ok.
My GPZ was written off for a lot less so you may have a problem. What patch says about the insurers is right if you are fully comp you can get your insurers to deal with it then claim it all back but if she has admitted fault it may be easier to go straight though her insurance anyway, At least that way you don't have to temporarily fork out your excess. Did it happen in Brum? Where about? |
