Default Removing melted plastic from exhaust.....

Hello

Unfortunately when I fitted my new exhaust the other day the bubble wrap it was loving wrapped in blew into the front down pipe on my bike. As it was running and very hot it melted and is now stuck to my front pipe like S&*% to a blanket

Any ideas how I can remove it? Ive tried scraping it whilst hot & WD40 but its quite stubborn....

Cheers in advance.

Try a green pan scrubber and autosol.

Medium grade wire wool and Autosol would work better, use the two together and then polish with just Autosol and a soft rag to buff it up to a shine again.

this might sound funny but, paint stripper might do it and not scratch the metal , would dissolve the plastic at least.

Warm the engine and exhaust back up and use a piece of wire wool soaked in WD40 to begin with to remove the most stubborn bits, follow this with wire wool and Autosol (metal polish), and once removed allow the exhaust to cool down and apply more autosol with a cloth and then buff it out to a nice shine.

Should do the trick....
