Are you going for Avon Storm Ultra 2's for the bike?
Mine used to do that, junk the tyres and if you haven't already get some better fork springs and slightly heavier oil.

The unpredictabilty of my original SV front end was scarey. GSXR much better

Mmmmm, any one local you'd recommend to do the spring and oil swap?

I assume Hagon springs are what most people use? Are progressive springs worth the money when fitted into a SV650 stock set of forks?

I did mine myself, but its a fork out job, unless you've got something to suck the oil out.

MCT at Stowmarket are meant to be very good, expensive for a full kit, but saves messing around.

I'll be taking my forks for a service there sometime.

I might do the spring change myself looking at the charges...are any special tools needed? Any links to how-to's you know of? Or is it really that straight forward?

No, no special tools needed, except for an accurate measuring jug for the oil and a socket for the fork cap nuts.

You can buy a special syringe, with a measure to get the levels spot on and equal

You will need a paddock stand and a jack under the engine to lift the front end whilst you have the forks out.

Easier with an ABBA stand though, bike can fall off a paddock stand.

Buy the springs yourself and get your dealer to do the job.

Top tip undo the top yoke bolts first, before attempting to undo the fork cap nuts, as the yoke grips
them, and the nuts are made of cheese.

Thanks again, I might well just get a price from my dealer, maybe chuck in a rear shock too and see...I'd need to talk to the dealership anyway about suzuki warranty legalities with this too. I have the tools and a Abba stand though so could do it myself, my dad is an ex-mechanic so could assist if I get in a muddle but that being said if the price isn't too high through the dealer it might be the easiest option

I doubt I'll benefit all that much from true progressive springs so think the Hagons would do me well, do you think there would be much noticeable difference between them? especially as they are going into stock forks...?

If you have the ABBA stand, I'd do it myself, although you do have to think about your warranty.

Best thinking on the Org is to get springs matched to your weight

Thanks Rich, I'll give the dealership a call first off as if they are not happy I am not happy...all being well I'll read some more on the subject (linear/dual/progressive pros and cons) and seek some advise from the suspension guru. Thanks for your time, much appreciated

Oh, and I found a half decent step by step guide which helps the likes of me know what I'd be in for, here

I get the feeling I ought to make this upgrade the priority over the cosmetic ones
