Gotcha, I am assuming that newer models are more reliable, it least that is what I am led to believe, but they'll carry a silly price tag second hand too

A DRZ400 would be the ticket, been around for a while too...I did see some all super moto'ed up somewhere, would be fun I'm sure

I take it you're not going to be doing any longs runs, it's more weekend fun / green laning and commute?

This

To be honest last year all I did was commute on it apart from 2 "pleasure" runs - but I fancy some green-laning and my father-in-law has ridden a DRZ400 within our usual group and a trip to Southwold from Norwich was no problem - so I know it can still be used for that kind of thing.

Just got to find one within budget now!

**** it!

I asked insurance to cancel my policy as of 3rd of april, so they cancelled it as of 30th march, which is really helpful because I have to ride it to trade in tomorrow.

Bugger.

Just make sure you dont get yer bum down!!! And get someone to take pics

Well it wasnt a fluke cos i did it again today I have so much confidence on this bike im leaning right over the tank and leaning my shoulders into the bend which is making my cornering the best its ever been (just aswell cos i used to be diabolical on a twisty road!)
Could only manage 45 minutes riding tough (3 x 15mins) then my head and eyes were all over the place, i felt unstable, shaky and disorientated and decided home was the safest place
Did put some loverly rim tape on when we got home though, I think i've out-chavved myself
