Re: Curvy multimeter reading question
I went to the garage next to where I work and 5 mins later they took it off. Cheers for that!
So, situation now is I have a reg/rec coming thanks to the lawman! Now I know the battery is gone and been looking at old posts but wanted to check if the one I need is YTX9-BS, found a yuasa on eBay for £37.45 delivered. Does that sound that about right? |

Re: Curvy multimeter reading question
Yep! sounds like a Yuasa. I had same issues and bought and fitted a Reg/rec off a blade. Nice 14.something volts at any revs now, including idle.

Re: Curvy multimeter reading question
Battery problems now sorted!
Something strange happened on the way to work this morning though. Went for my usual detour, 1/2 way through and the petrol light came on blinking really fast (twice as fast as normal) them 1 mile later the bike started to bog down then light went solid & it stopped. I was about 1 1/2 miles from work with a big hill in between us!! Left the bike on the side stand as I contemplated pushing it up the hill. Tried to start it and it caught so I quickly went off managed to get to 60 up the hill (it was very boggy like firing on 1 cylinder). when it cut I just made it up the hill. Does it sound like I ran out of petrol (checked the tank and not much is there! Also ido you think there a problem with the petrol light. Thanks p.s. last part into work goes down hill but when I tried to hop on my leg got caught & dropped it. Smashing the right (as you sit on it) front light!! Agh! MOT next week, if I Borge it together would it pass? Last edited by Zorba; 19-09-13 at 10:14 AM. |

Re: Curvy multimeter reading question
Well, amazing thing petrol..... Bike started straight away!
Still a bit worried about the time it took to warn me before cutting out though. Will keep a eye on this in the next few weeks. |
