Default Help - Dead Bike.

HI Everyone,

I need your help figuring out this problem I have with my 2003 sv. I was trying to wire new led turn signal and I think I caused a short circuit. All the fuses are fin, but I can't start the bike. There is nothing at all when I turn the key ?

Could the side stand/turn signal relay be damaged ??

Thanks for your help..

1) Do any of the dash lights come on at all when you turn the key?
2) Have you got an alarm?
Datatool alarms (and others) have a master fuse which kills all the electrics. Usually hidden under the battery cover or rear seat. You should have a fitting diagram with the alarm paperwork.

Yep - theres an inline fuse too. Look for a rubber part in the wire. Whereabouts are you based?

have you checked every fuse? have you disconnected the indicators? If you have an alarm it'll be more complicated. If you mention where you live someone may be willing to call by to have a look for you. (for a cup of tea )

As well as checking the fuses under the seat have you checked the 30amp main fuse behind the black trim pannel that you take off to get to the seat bolts on the right hand side?
