my effort - its the only pic i have in B&W so get entered by default....!!
its midtown manhatten as seen from the river hudson i had all my settings wrong...it was a new camera to me...subject too far away, too much water shown...i'll get my cloak...

I think it is a fairly good effort keithy mate, look at mine, its not even black and white really is it. It looks similar to one of your Paris pics on Facebook that you had.
