I have an unfair one (curvy) which I think looks alot nicer than the faired one. Disadvantage is no wind protection which isn't a problem because I don't do silly speeds. The newer pointy model looks much better than the old curvy when faired IMO.

i've owned both.
faired: good points: easier to hang off more comforytable at speed due to wind protection better in rain for the same reason higher top end speed than the naked bad point: more 'racing' body position means arm ache slower acceleration than the naked costs more costs more to drop! naked: good points faster acceleration more up right body postion means easier to see over cars easier to get the front wheel of the ground cheaper if droped and to buy bad points: lower top end getting battered by wind takes it tole after a while maybe not so easy to get ur knee down (maybe) choose what suits ur riding. donmt go on what poeple think looks better or worse as ull just suffer. anyway, no one on here agrees about looks. some people even think thge old shape SV's look better |

Hi French,
To be honest, it depends entirely on what you want to do with it I bought my Naked for commuting to work and tackling urban traffic - which it does perfectly. It also gives me a lot of fun on sunny weekends too! If you want to chuck something around traffic, weave about, and have good visability - get a Naked. If you want to have something for main roads, longer or faster journey's, and generally for use out of traffic, then get a faired.
