Default Bill McLaren RIP

"The Voice of Rugby" has passed away today.

One of, if not the best, sports commentators of this or any other generation. Brought the game alive for many of us who love the game. Brought it alive for many who would not otherwise watch it, too. RIP

'Tis sad - he was scrupulously fair with his commentating, while never letting you forget he would rather Scotland won. Sad that the fairness and sportsmanship in rugby appears to be disappearing with the old-guard.

Fond memories of standing on the terraces (remember them) at Murrayfield, then going home an listening to his commentary on the video.
