.50 cal, scary
Read before Watching, sound needed...
This guy is shooting a 50 CAL. Watch the dust when he fires. The target is a steel plate 1000 yards away. You can hear the ping of the hit, and then the bullet comes back and hits the ground just in front of his position, then tumbles up hitting the earmuffs, knocking them off of his head. The footage is amazing. You can hear the bullet as it tumbles through the air on its course back toward the shooter. He's lucky it hit the dirt first. He is okay, and obviously very lucky. The bullet grazed his temple. What a difference a half an inch makes! http://s758.photobucket.com/albums/x...aliber11-1.flv |

The Barrett Rifle is a stunning piece of kit.
I have a friend whos using one in the forces at the moment. The best thing about these rifles is the fact that in the right hands, they can take out a multi million dollar aircraft on a runway from a mile away with a 1 dollar round By the time they work out where its come from, the sniper is well clear |

There were a few kicking around South Armagh in the bad old days, one was concealed in the back of an old Bluebird, pop the hatch and bang bang. Beautiful weapon with a terrible purpose. |

Re: .50 cal, scary
.50 is a baby compare to this.............
http://world.guns.ru/sniper/sn55-e.htm If that hit you, you'd be having an extremely bad day. I can't imagine anything more scary than knowing that you could be being tracked by a sniper who could take you out at any time, the psychological damage they must do to an enemy without firing a shot must be huge! |
