Thumbs up Honda FJS 600 Silvering maxi scooter for sale.

Honda FJS 600 Silverwing
Y reg, 25k. Blue. I've had this bike for over a year now and it's never let me down or missed a beat. It's been a faultless commuter into London each day for me. It's a very comfortable and smooth bike and is like riding a recliner around! 600cc parallel twin hustles along nicely. Will go past 100 mph and the long wheel base keeps it stable. I've been on one 200 mile trip on it and it was great. I can see why people tour on these bikes.
The bike was originally supplied by Tippets and has been serviced by them up to 10k (when I go it) I've serviced it myself since then. The only thing I've done to it is to replace the pathetically weak front springs with Hyperpro ones. Ths makes agreat improvement to the ride.
It does have a few battle scars as it's a commuter, but these are superficial scratches rather than gouges from going down the road on its side. I've never dropped it and can't see any evidence of it being crashed at any time. I can take good digi pictures of all the marks if there is any interest. The worse bit on the bike, although not very visible, is the wheels. Honda really let themselves down with the finish on these wheels. Most people have them powder coated. Again I can take pictures if anyone was interested.
Its only just recently been through the MOT and is taxed until dec 07 or jan 08?
Its been a great bike and changed my view on scooters. Ths really does have the legs to be taken seriously. Super daily hack with potential for much more.
£1995 ono.

New ones go for the same price as SVs around here... They're surely not cheap to buy, but the tank range on the Burgman I'm riding at the moment is great compared to the SV... and my withdrawal symptoms are getting worse...

My tank range at the moment is amazing. But I did see the pictures above & thought of you Filipe

Derail, not got your bike back from the service then? Maybe you should start servicing it yourself to avoid the withdrawl

Very expensive new. Cheapest one on biketrader at the moment has 10k more miles and is £400 dearer.

They have a 14" front and 13" rear! They are woefully undeer sprung on the front (bit like a SV really ) but some hyperpros soon sort it out. Then it soaks up bumps ok really.

The feet froward riding postition takes a bit of getting used to, but once you're used to it, its amazingly comfortable!

55 litres of under seat storage will be missed, I can tell you. You wont believe how much beer you can carry!

I've used it for about 15 months through all weathers etc. Its great in abigg scooter kind of way! It was more comfortable on a 400 mile round trip to bristol than my BMW Rockster was!

600cc parallel Fuel injected twin hustles it along quite well despite its weight. Suprises a few people away from the lights!
