Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Yeah of course. Like I said, next time the wheel is off I'll make note of the measurements and post them on here.

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
What is the rough cost of a conversion? Does anyone on here machine up the relevant spacers?

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
I reckon a VFR750 rear swinger with the 8 spoke from a 90-93 model would finish that off just nicely, great work!

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Just to throw a bit of a spanner in the works here, but my curvy has a 180 rear conversion which was simpler.
Now i didn't do it, so i don't know the details, mines got a GSXR rear wheel, and the only machined part is the caliper hanger requiring to have a few mil shaved off it, like you did. Other than that, i use the stock sv spacers, and i think its the stock sprocket carrier. There must be info on the interweb about which model wheel and how to guide. Nowt wrong with your way, although mines easier as it requires less machining of parts, unless you have access to the necessary equipment.

Re: SVBMX Build Thread

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Let's face it though none of us do modifications because it'll save us money, in my case it always seems to cost me more

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Went a for decent ride today, roads were dry so managed to get a good feel for the wider wheel... feels much more planted and less jittery at higher speeds.
Did this quick walk around vid when I got home

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
looks fantastic mate. does the exhaust have a removable baffle? it sounds great but not overly loud but i guess its hard to tell through phone speakers. do you have a link for the speedo? was it easy to fit? i guess being gps it is more accurate but i guess if you go through a tunnel you will lose the signal. not a big deal as you would be concentrating on the sound and not how fast you are going!
