Re: directions please
When do you plan on doing these runs???
Let me know and i will see if i can make it, i work nights on a 4 on 4 off shift system so it might be a bit hard to meet up with you. I will give you a shout next time i am going to devils and will meet you at the mcdonalds on the roundabout on the A59. Then up to gisburn and across to the bridge. Its a good little run. Lets hope we get some good weather though. |

Re: directions please
There are better ways up to Devils
Personally I would suggest you go upto Longridge then Claughton on Brock, Oakenclough, down towards Forton/Bay Horse and shoot across Quernmoor at silly grin inducing speed. all the way to Caton. Then ignore direction sigh and turn left/right over the lune at Crook O Lune, first right and then hoon on the Nether Kellet Road all the way to Kirby lonsdale going through Arkholme etc. see here Using the A59/A65 is boring. If you must use the A65 go via Hurst Green, Warburton, Newton, Slaidburn upto Long Preston. The A65 from Gisburn upto Long Preston is generally a crawl stuck with double white line, nowhere to safely overtake and 30mph tourists with caravans.

Re: directions please
Cheers Tim, i will have to try that way.
What about getting a mini ride out for us new guys on this side of the hill Tim. I am sure there will be a lot of interest. No pressure mate, but if you don't you will be hunted down by all the newbies on this side of the hill.. What do you think mate a good idea or not . Anyone else who would be up for this either as a leader or follower. Come on RED ROSES let's get together and spread the love of the .org |

Re: directions please
Leave it with me. I will put something together maybe combine my two favourite routes up there. but is likely to be short notice, weather dependant and involve carrot cake (hint for a few there)
