Thinking of moving house
I've had my house for the last 6 years or so now and am quite happy with it.
Theres always work needing to be done with/to it but at the moment, were cash rich but time poor as the Mrs put it. Now I live on the edge of Northampton (a location thats good for both Jenn and myself with our jobs), not in the best area, but far from the worst one too. I have never had any trouble where I am although I have been told its a bad area. Space isn't an issue for us as I have a largish town house but I really would like a double garage and Jenn would like a studio... I can see us fighting over that space! Now we're happy with the house and the mortgage is next to nothing (much less than 1 weeks wage ) A little while ago we went through a spate of having visits at all times of the day and night, stupid calls moaning about other people to us (even people we didn't even know!) Dropping by at mealtimes (we even made sure that they were fed if we were eating) and just generally being a pain in the ass. We ended up distancing ourselves from them, even to the stage of ignoring the front doorbell. Now anyone who knows us or has been to our house knows that the kettle is always on, anyone is welcome inside and if they need help, we are there but it got to the stage where we lost all privacy and personal space. Now heres the question. Would you move house if this nutter knew where you lived? |

Garages are ace!
Somewhere to go and play when the weather is bad, and you can't afford a beer. As for the nutter. I wouldn't let anyone 'force' me to move.

Re: Thinking of moving house
It's a semi dodgy area complete with nutters with no garage or studio and you have plenty of cash.... What do you think, do it!

Re: Thinking of moving house
Tell you what, you can have my dingy little house, with a shed for three bikes and no room to swing a cat in.It comes complete with wayne and waynetta living in every other house, and if you get the deckchairs out in summer theres usually a good display of chaavy punchups!
I happen to need a much bigger house with a double garage and more space for little peeps and pets. Your bread is buttered on the right side, tell the annoying to politely c0ck off Its no reason to move house over.

Re: Thinking of moving house
Move now before prices start rising again, to get the things you want.
We moved to our current house because of a problem with the neighbour. Luckily all my house moves (forced or by choice) have been when the prices have been depressed and I would always buy low. My wife has a crazy idea of wanting to move to a bungalow, but to get the same space as we have now, would require a kings ransom

Re: Thinking of moving house
move not nessesarily ,that would depend if you found a "perfect place" to go too, otherwise no
as for nutters, next time they " catch you" bring annoying people up in converstion but use the my mate steve approach, eg your speaking to stu so you say, my mate steve is starting to get on my tits dropping round every 5 mins ,and have a good slag about steve with said nutter (stu), ps this only works with someone with a brain cell so the nutter may miss the point, failing that and if they havent got the hint so far a simple pre orcastrated fight with said nutter should do, then just "hold the grudge" even after they apologise after |
